... actually the only limit for the quality is your connection and CPU performance - I can stream videos in resolutions up to 1440*960 (more is possible but flash player is HW demanding so it would lag to some users), bitrate is set for best videos in highres to 3000, the rest 2000 or 1500kbits/s.

yer nope. The sound streams through great but the video comes through like a stuttering child. t-t-t-today junior! Is this the way you made the video on purpose? It seems like it since the opening credits roll through smooth as silk

Sometimes you need to right click, and go into the flash settings and enable/disable "hardware acceleration". Works fine for me.

Well some users have issues with smoothness of those videos...

To fix it try to get latest version of flash player and keep HW acceleration on.

And if the videos wont play properly check your CPU load.

Or watch videos on youtube

yes it supports only 1280*720... i can have there anything. 320*240 or 1920*1080 etc. Lags are caused by the client side not server. I'm working now on a better encoding so it will require less CPU though.

and finally our glorious Vimeo bans all gaming videos so this is an alternative for me.

And as i said, I dont force anyone to watch this. If you dont like it just STFU or try to help others by fixing your lagging problem.

edit: I stream those videos also in original framerate, Vimeo uses 24fps

They removed a video I made in less than 24 hours a few months ago. They emailed me this:

Dear Ackme:

Your video 'Akme - Learning to Drag (1466436)' has been removed from Vimeo because it violates our policies.

Vimeo does not allow porn, commercial videos, gaming videos, videos that incite hatred, or videos that you did not make yourself ("I have permission from the creator" does not count as making it).

I tested the videos on singlecore C2D 3.96GHz and it takes about 50% of CPU to play that 1280*1024 video. What i see is that bitrate doesnt matter. So what is the limit is user CPU. If you still have issues you can select by rightclicking on the video Quality->Low. I didnt see the diffrence but it took just 25% instead of 50%. And better to look at the videos in permalink vindow not in that with the side-menu bar.

Specifically, we are no longer going to allow game walk-throughs, game strategy videos, depictions of player vs player battles, raids, fraps, or any other video gaming videos that simply depict individuals playing a video game.

So your "Gaming videos need to be better then just a regular video.
