Has anyone else been having this problem in the last day or so? I've been playing pretty steadily for awhile now (ie, beyond pre 1.2) and haven't had much of a problem, so I don't think its patch related. But the last two days or so BF2 has been CTD'ing on me like crazy. I'll play 3/4's of a round and I'll suddenly CTD with no warning or error message. Any ideas/suggestions?
ur lucky u can play, my game has been fine until today! i got up fancied a game of bf2 go to play, sreen goes black BANG crashes to desktop.
Same here. I thought it was my internet at first. Now I have my doubt's as the rest of the connections here work great.
Yeah, thats what I thought too till I checked everything else.. On a rare occasion over these last 2 days or so I'd also get random "you have lost connection to the server" kicks...MILLWRIGHT32 wrote:

Try uninstalling your gay porn toolbar in IE.
If I try to connect to a server I get a CTD. Instantly. And I have to fix my resolution.
I think I may have located the source of the problem. I usually start a game of BF2 using Xfire and its handy list of general and favorite servers. Xfire decided to update itself today and in the update notes was mentioned correcting several problems on Xfire causing CTD'ing in numerous games since its last update. Were any of you other guys using Xfire as well? I haven't played much since its updated so I haven't had a chance to see if theres any difference..

Think I might be on your side with the xfire issue. Got the update today as well and all night been either having a problem with my connection or CTDing.
