Are they actually any good? I went through a phase of drinking quite a lot of straight vodka, but recently I haven't really liked it much. Do premium brands, like Grey Goose or Chopin, actually taste a lot better? I think a lot of it is that stuff like Smirnoff and Absolut have a terrible aftertaste. So yeah, do we have any vodka enthusiasts on here?
hell yes. they taste much better. belvedere is fantastic

Cheap Vodka + Charcoal water purifier = Top Shelf Vodka.
the only major difference between the cheap stuff and the good stuff is the good stuff is filtered more.

Sorry I meant drink.
I read about those, but apparently the filters in the purifier have to be replaced each time for them to be effective and they're pretty expensive.Zilla wrote:

um, no just buy a Brita pitcher. you can filter 7-8 gallons of vodka b4 you lose effectiveness.ghettoperson wrote:

Considering top shelf vodka generally cost over twice as much as the cheap stuff.. this might actually be worth a try.i g wrote:

nyette, bro, as you read this, now this
Vodka quality depends on one thing and one thing only, distillation. The more times distilled the "better" the vodka. So if you want to make cheap vodka into good vodka, all you have to do is a little research.... by research i mean buy one of those little vodka filter thingees

running it through a charcoal filter, (like a Brita), does the same thing as distillation. removes impurities that affect the taste.Locoloki wrote:

Try Stolichnaya and Finlandia. Those are my favorites.
I like potato vodka better than grain vodka. Grey Goose is over rated.
