Great interview with Carl.  He fully explained that Kyle has flat out run over him in other races and fair is fair.  Carl just went up a couple points in my book.

I want a pic of Carl's car with Kyle sideways in front with the caption "owned". This made my weekend.

Logano to the 20 full time in 09'...
http://www.nascar.com/2008/news/headlin … index.html

Home Depot remains on the car as primary.
Logano will also run at least Richmond and Atlanta...in the 02 w/ Home Depot as sponsor.

This kid has talent for sure.  With his win in Nationwide, in just his 3rd start (Clint says a monkey could have done it in the 20...) watch out for this kid.  He really does have a nice feel for a racecar...or so it seems.
Wonder how he'll work with Zippy...

Whoa, shit...

I hate the changes to the shootout.  Who wants to watch half the field from cars that can barely make a race half the time anyway.  Another reason I hate the top 35 rule.  That one should be changed to the top 20 rule.

Thats one less race I'll watch next year. Who wants to see Micheal Waltrip and David Ruetiman in the shootout? Not me, I think between the two of them they have only one top 5 finish. The shootout has always been about the pole winners, and it should. The fans could really care less about the manufactures champions and owners champions, and NASCAR is trying to make them seem more important. The fans care more about the drivers imho.

I'm not sure NASCAR knows what it cares about atm.
I understand the deal with Bud and Coors...but damn, did they have to Ruin a perfectly good race??

I agree, its going to suck balls.

I hate the new shootout rules.  It really screws over fan favorite and underdog drivers like Boris Said.  I also feel sorry for Joe Nemechek.  Now we get to see crap drivers who can barely qualify for a race take the spots of people who deserve to be in the race in the first place.

Once again, here we are early in the race/run and the 88 looks really fast.  Any bets on when they lose the handle on the car? hehe

I say before halfway.

I hope NASCAR decided to impound the 48 for inspection at the r&d shop.  It certainly looked suspicious as to how much faster than the rest of the field they were.

Every winning car is thoroughly inspected after the race as standard procedure right?  It obviously passed post-race already or we'd have heard something by now.

I seriously doubt there were any irregulairties with the 48.  Those guys have been working their asses off to catch up to the 18.  Like Stingray said, if there were something odd about the car, we'd have heard by now.
And yeah, the 1st place car is ALWAYS torn down after the race.  Thats extra hours the crew does'nt mind one bit

Jimmie was running the better line ... plus those extra decals gave him more horsepower.   Oh and he had the correct badge on the front of the car.  See below:

Richmond will be a barn burner, no doubt.  I'll be one of those "unmissable" ... (is that even a word?) races.  Last race before the chase, and a short track on top of that...several do or die cars close to the top 12.
Its gonna be a good one.

At least she kept Logano's 02 out of the race.  He shouldnt be starting his first Cup start here anyway.

Any team can try and start any driver they want at any race.  It's too damned bad for everyone else.

Besides you never know he could take his teammate out by accident rather than JJ or Gordon.

no shit sherlock hehehe
nevertheless...I'm sure you can see the other drivers point of view.  starting here, at richmond, in this particular race...imho, there is simply tooo much at stake.  he wants to start next weekend?  thats fine, but lets not have him influence the chase, or even seem to.  this kid has far too bright a future to take achance on soiling it now with a premature start, or a start that is ill timed.

if you want to argue that way then you should be arguing that they not be entered in chase events as well.   You can't have it both ways.
