The only one they can use is the PS button, but that already opens XMB... that means that XMB would have to be switched to holding the PS button, but that already opens the controller off/system off/controller settings menu.
If they add screen shots as a menu option it will be shit, they are only worth while when they are of action.... So I suppose that means the current press and hole menu will get the axe, and honestly I like having the condensed menu rather then having to deal with XMB every time.... I used it to easily turn the controller off more often then I take screen shots.
What i think will happen is they will axe the "Turn off" thing, then turn the XMB into the hold, and screenshot as tap.
Or, is that what you meant anyway?

Why cant they map the screenshot command to a button combo like R1+x for instance. I would prefer this to having them scrap the current ps button functions.

Because then that button combo could never be used in a game again.... R1+x is already used in some games. And even if the combo is not use, say X is gas, and R1 is hand brake.... If i handbrake with out letting off the gas I will keep taking screen shots.csmag wrote:

as for my previous comments... I think they will axe the menu that current comes up when you hold the PS button, the "turn off controller/turn off system/controller settings"
They will just put all of that under the XMB, but I use "turn off controller" a lot since I have so much media on my PS... and I don't want that burried under some menu (yeah I know small gripe, but I probably wont use the screen shots much)
