Hey guys, I recently made a server side BF2 mod and thought it might be of some interest.

The mod does the following:

- Removes unneeded flags
- Removes unneeded spawns
- Removes all vehicles apart from helicopters
- Relocates the chopper locations for easy access
- Increases the number of choppers to 8 per side (Supporting 32 players!)

Currently it's in it's first stage of testing (I've yet to have an online server host it) but I've made all the steps I can at home to make sure the mod is 100% - and all going well, hoping for it to be hosted by my ISP. The mod currently has 2 maps up (Dalian plant and Daqing oilfields) however if it turns out to be somewhat played, I'll be adding almost every map.

You should put, Dalian,Daqing,Dragon,

Dragon + Daqing being the helicopter league maps.

And dalian a good heli map in itself.

And any others really, but they are the best. Shame its gonna be on a AU server.

If you remove the combat area on Mashturr it's huge... you could have airfields on both corners of the map... even for jets...

A few servers might - however after checking clan websites, one said that they wouldn't share the source code to someone who already posted. I wanted a chopper mod and so did he, so I made a mod that anyone can use.

@ People suggesting things, I am limited to maps with attack choppers already in place due to the way server side mods work. Thanks anyway though

No, I just like to play engi.

You can play any kit - but the point of the mod is to stay in the chopper and have wars, not uncap rape with kits. Being server side I can only edit so many things.

If you're looking for a meh server for basic testing, I can run it on my server.

I have 100Kbs Up, so I can handle like 4-5 people, and I'm based on the Canadian west coast.

But yeah, it should give you a little more bang for preliminary testing.

If this is a mod do i need to download anything to play it?

Also Zatar wetlands is massive on 64 player, would that be anygood as a heli only map? there anr plenty of rivers that you can hover over to hide in or sneak round the back of the enemy bases, i like swooping under the pipelines too to avoid enemy fire.

It's a server side mod, so the server admin has to install it, but the player doesn't.
