One of my sisters friends owns a RV center. FEMA called them yesterday and was asking about their inventory.

Maybe it ended up in Northern Ireland ... we're getting some pretty bad floods here! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7565593.stm - that mini photo ... I was about a mile away from there 10 minutes ago, crazy

Considering how this place turns into complete chaos when it rains abit more than usual. I'd reckon that the UK would no longer cease to exist as an entity if a Hurricane would hit it.
This is true! The UK would probably move closer to France if there was a hurricane.Mek-Stizzle wrote:

this old rich lady down the street said she'd pay me if i filled up sandbags and put them infront of her glass doors so the water wouldnt get under them, it took me about 3 hours and she paid me like $120 lol. I expected alot less.
You are now liable for all damages incurred as a result of the storm. All payment received shall be refunded in the event of a breach. For your protection I advise that you immediately seek the advice of an attorney..:ronin:.|Patton wrote:

To my Floridian Brethren, if we are ultimately destroyed, there will no longer be a Florida tag on Fark and our dignity will be restored.
How used to Hurricanes are you guys now? Do you get quite a few coming right upto Florida like this? It's "only" a Cat 1-2 'cane I suppose but that's still a bitch
This is what I get for making light of it. Now it could be a Cat 2 and is aimed directly at me. We are used to rough weather but when it starts getting around 100 mph winds (with gust 20-30 mph higher) you can have some serious damage. I'm going to move all my patio furniture into my garage today. I need to make sure I have flashlights/candles, water, batteries, radio, etc. In other words I have actually get prepared now .Mek-Stizzle wrote:

Last year was a slow year so people have become complacent. That was a big problem in NO after Katrina. Locals just ignored the evacuation order.

I thought you were supposed to put the pool furniture into the pool? That's what they do at hotels and shit.Kmarion wrote:

No Hurricanes, Tornado's, Cyclones, Tsunamis..... ohh what a Paradise
nah we had (well not we as in Dutchies) but in Poland there was a pretty big Tornado, very uncommon here...
anyway, good luck yanks, hope it's gonna be a near miss.
Sheesh, and you'd think they had it bad WITHOUT the weather..
You've gotta have a pool. I've got a community pool about 100 yards from me but I don't think they would be happy with me if I dumped my patio furniturein there..lol. My it's solid oak too. I would never be able to get it out.Poseidon wrote:

All of the above, and Florida is the lighting capital of the world . It's a good place to live if you like weather watching the awesome destructive power of mother nature though^*AlphA*^ wrote:
