few days ago I got this mod and this is absolutely amazing. best thing yet, I love the teamwork / community. Been playing this almost non stop for the past few days. but one thing which I'm a bit let-down about is this;
Forest / Jungle maps. They're AMAZING with my favorite being Operation Ghost Train. Others include Fool's Road etc. Though they are HARDLY played on european servers.
Actually, 9/10 servers that are populated and have a good ping for me rotate Kashan Desert(mainly)/other open maps all the time. I seriously do hate these map types because it's loaded with tank whores who can just rape any squad from way out of AT rifleman // AT kits range (hell some good tankers can kill your AT guys the moment they pop up to shoot anyway). You seriously can hardly get anywhere.
Get in a truck; quick transport, but bound to be raped by either APCs or tanks if you're driving around too long, and as an infantry squad you just have a really hard time finding any protection against the multipile tanks. Tell me go in a tank yourself, done that, but it's just no fun to me.
So, I rather tend to avoid really open maps because of this reason. Problem as explained; barely any server has forest maps on rotation oftenly except for an american server with (no surprise) shitty ping to me.
Anyone know a EU server somewhere which has these maps on alot? And why do most other servers tend to avoid them, to me the forest maps are alot more challenging aswell than roaming a giant open desert.
(preferably healthy 30+ pop servers)
