i am getting a crossfire solution and i need a new power supply 500w+ that is also quiet, does not have to be dead silent, just quiet enough. My price limit is $160

You should look at the Seasonic S12 series. They do 500W and 600W models. They're dead stable, and very quiet too - using just one 120mm fan. You should check out some hardware review sites and look for a PSU comparison of some sort.

I was looking at the Antec TruePower series and the Enermax Liberty Power series. Are they any good in terms of noise.

The antec true power looks good.

"Thanks to Antec New Low Noise Technology, system noise is substantially reduced, too. The power supply fans run at the lowest speed appropriate to load and conditions, controlled by an advanced temperature response system that outperforms previous solutions. Dedicated Fan Only power connectors allow TruePower power supplies to control the speed of case fans, too, thus reducing total system noise"

quiet too me thinks.

dunno about enermax

I have an antec true power low noise solution, and it is fucking awesome. You literally cannot hear the fan, but it still retains all the dissipation and stable voltages you'd expect from Antec. Very happy with this power supply, and the cabling was very well organized which is a definite plus. My case fans and CPU fans on their lowest speed is still louder then the PSU.

Seasonic have got to be the best. I have the s12-600 and it has the most stable 12V rail around. Gets the awards in all the psu tests i have seen, however they do not come cheap (mine was £109) however how much will it cost to replace your shiny pc when the crappy old no name psu that came with the case blows up and fry's your pc's innards for a laugh?

Oh, this is the tower I have it mounted it, the 120mm PSU fan plust the 3 80mm's in the tower keeps everything cool.
