Time for my LotR:O plug. Although I think you said you didnt like lord of the rings, maybe it was someone else, whatever.

Point is, it is a great game and there is an expansion in october-ish adding level cap and mines of moria/lothlorien.

If you do start a trial or what not, I'm on Elendilmir, name is "Timrond"

It is a large d/l though so I won't hold my breath.

WoW is ultimately the same thing as GW. You aimlessly level up and get better objects, but get to wander around a bigger area,

You just summed up all MMO's in basic basic terms .

Level up, gear-grind, PvP / PvE (or both).

It's the sense of enjoyment, adventure and satisfaction / self accomplishment that comes with it that makes it fun. Not every game has to be finite and have a fixed introduction, story and end.

i will be the first to admit that laughed at people who played wow. while it is full or retards and losers with no life it is fairly entertaining. just don't expect to have much fun until you get to 70. don't get me wrong questing and doing low level instances are fun, its just that most people are focused on end game content now. anyways wow has a deal now where you can try the game out with a friend and summon each other anywhere in the game and get double xp and what not. might as well give it a shot since there are not many other good mmorpg's out there right now.

Update: I downloaded the trial and played all day today, I got tired and starting talking to the girlfriend. I was in a shitty mood (Might be other things in my life right now, dont ask) but she said it might be from not eating in which I realized I played WoW all day and didn't eat I don't know if I should go further.

He-ey those sort of gaming experiences are valuable things that you look back upon with envy Don't stop now... I think secretly every WoW player would love to stumble back across the 'magic' and all-out 'fun factor' of the first few months of play. Once you become weary to the game and know it inside out, it's not so fun anymore-- and not even expansion packs completely respark that interest. How often do you feel completely enveloped and satisfied playing a game? Not often, it's normally when you very first get into them... same goes for FPS games as well-- when they're just good clean fun, and there's no whining or ego involved.

Have fun .

It's exactly for those reasons that it takes a special case to rip me away from a free-to-play long enough to dabble in pay-to-play.

Update: I've given up. I don't know what I have to do to spend money to get a working account, if anyone can help me that would be great. What do I need to buy to have a full BC account... Do I need to buy BC and the original or just bc.

You have to buy both; the World of Warcraft battle-chest (which includes both games) costs like $30.00- which is amazing value for those two games.

That's the link/company I go from on Game prices... the battle-chest was £15.00 for the first few months.

Works out as $36.35... has risen a bit I admit.

I'm not ordering from Europe anyway, I would pick it up at the Gamespot and it would be $40. Does that come with a month or two? I dont know
