I've got Fire Red on an emulator after needing a bit of nostaliga a few months ago. It's familliar but new. I was up to Victory Road but it got boring. I had a Charizard, a Raichu, a Kadabra, a Gyarados, a Pidgeot and a Scyther.

Dispite the childish girly nature of Pokemon the fact is that like most ten and eleven year-olds I was caught up in the whole thing. It was cool - then it got wrecked by introducing more than 150. Still it was cool.
Besides, having a game running on an emulator is a good way to skive off working while you've got three essays to do.

why does everyone say it was ruined when more than 150 were introduced? It adds so much more to the game and give much more customability then getting the same pokemon over and over because they are the only good onesTy wrote:

eventually it will end though. look at all the pokemon released so far. they're mostly based on RL animals. try and think of an animal that doesn't have a pokemon associated with it. mutant or i can probably name a pokemon for anything you come up with.cowami wrote:

I enjoyed EV training. It just seemed kinda relaxing. Breeding for IV's was pretty annoying and don't even get me started on breeding for hidden powers! However it's still one of the best games I've ever played.haffeysucks wrote:

they pissed me off after gold and silver too many pokemon, completed, red, blue, yellow, gold and silver with a full pokedex tho.
