listen you idiots. i give them the benefit of the doubt and wait for an investigation, not some news story that most likely fucked up the facts. but, say what you want.Freezer7Pro wrote:

Sorry but a guy lying on the ground with a broken spine and heel isn't going to be considered a threat by anyone, no matter what incoherant crap they're muttering, and tazering someone 19 times able bodied or not is just fucking retarded, once does the job perfectly well, unless of course he's the size of an elephant (literally).
point i was trying to make was that cops make life and death decisions everyday. and because of that, i will give them the benefit of the doubt until a formal investigation takes place. but you can get your pitch forks if you want i guess.Uzique wrote:

And what investigation will rule that a human being needs 19 taser shots to be reasonably subdued?
Perhaps if they found an enraged grizzly bear under a highway bridge...
But a cripple?
Edit: From Taser Wiki: The Taser is not dependent on pain compliance making it highly effective on subjects with high pain tolerance..
Also think about the practical logical use of tasers... they're even designing lighter-weight versions for women to avoid rape and assaults etc. Are they designed to subdue or repel a threatening rapist in 15 shots? I don't really think so... one is enough for any human, tasers utterly pwn the nervous system and muscles.

Reading both articles, they both state that he was tasered 19 times, and are not just saying that this is reported by his father.usmarine wrote:

Marine in this case the cops were in the wrong, normally they are just doing their duty, but this is absurd.
