I'm the guy who killed two before one of their martydom nades killed me. I should be easy to spot, but only because I have a gold ak so you can see me better.

But I think that this shot shows just how big an advantage the US camo has over the Op For.

Red beret is just one great big "shoot here" sign. And if the red beret isn't enough, here's a bright red and white scarf!

If your not given a beret you get to wear the scarf around your whole head which is often worse. lol

Is there any reason you don't play as one faction or the other during multiplayer? I'd love to see IW release a patch than evens out the camo, but for now if I'm playing as marines I prefer to have a gold gun cause it seems like too big an advantage.

I've actually never Played OpFor or Spetz by my own choice. Only if teams are auto balanced.

The only way ill agree is, when you do switch to Op For and someone starts beating you, you don't go off on ones boasting about how harder it is for you.

Imo, I've never noticed a different playing either sides, both are fairly easy to see.

I'll choose spetz on Creek simply for the advantage of being up the hill, other than that I think it's SAS/USMC on all the other maps.

I think they both have their advantages. OpFor hides rather well in dark buildings and shadows than USMC.
An OpFor Sniper hiding back in a dark building would be much harder to spot than a lightly colored uniform.

Sometimes i don't know why, even if the enemy both usmc or opfor is right infront of me in plain sight, i just don't see him so i just run into him and get blasted by his p90.

I sometimes have that problem too. and if you are fast enough, you can take the first shot and make them die. doesnt matter which team.

I agree the beret is pretty stupid. . . . . However!

If you look at what modern day opfor fighters are wearing on the battlefields today you will see they are wearing bright colors. I cant tell you how many pics from Iraq that I have seen showing a fighter wearing a red/white/blue/green kafiya in battle.

Essentially what the opfor spec ops class wears in COD 4 is exactly what their modern day counterparts are wearing on the battlefield too!
