The past week I've been having issues with BF2. Every time I tried joining a server or going to the Audio tab in options, the game would instantly crash to desktop. I updated all my drivers, I updated PunkBuster, I cleared my cache, I tried everything. I assumed it was possibly Vista's fault, so I try playing BF2 on XP and sure enough it works fine.
Then today, while on XP, I decide to play some BF2. Start up the game, and whaddayaknow, the fucking goddamn piece of shit is crashing again. So that means it can't be Vista, especially since BF2 is crashing at the exact same points.
Could it be possible that some of the programs I installed are interfering with BF2? I did have Nero 8 and Tunebite 5 installed on Vista when things weren't working, and I installed both of those last night on my XP boot, which coincides with me suddenly not being able to play Battlefield 2.
