I see all the points made above and we are still left with "so how do you decide"... and to whoever thought that we were "worrying about noobs taking your precious vehicles".. I don't know about you but when you are in a fire fight it would be nice to have a little support from the air from someone who can actually get to the fight and give the support.. so yeah I guess you can call these vehicles "precious".
i didn´t know that jet-flying was so much fun, until i bought a joystick. but the fun you have, flying around is not worth the trouble you get, because of people running in front of "your" jet, people who run to the hangar, even when they see you waiting for the jet to respawn, teamkilling you for the seat, the collateral teamkills you cause, when you´re bombing without noticing, that there is still a teammate on the ground, who is fighting the tank with c4 or waiting for backup in a nearby good cover... and the worst of all... seeing, that even i nearly teamkilled somebody because he tried to take the jet, that i waited for a while! it only took an hour to transform me into that asshole-jetwhore that i was always complaining before... and after realizing that and keeping my bf2-infantry-roots in mind, i won´t be a jetwhore no more... when i see a free jet, i´ll take it, but i won´t fight for it like little children fight for toys no more...

if somebody is already waiting for the jet/heli - don´t go there and try to steal it, because he waited there longer and so it is his flight and not yours. even when you are the better pilot. when he crashes down and you are still at the hangar, then it is your turn to prove your skills. in real life, this kind of behaviour would be normal. people wait in queues when they see, that someone was anywhere first.

EA could easily solve that by making it not a team kill for hitting someone on a runway. Basically if you are hit by a jet or a helicopter then you are standing in a stupid place. End of story.-=S8M=-Phoenix wrote:

As for TK’s! I wander if EA could make it so that if you TK someone in a hanger (in a plane or waiting for a plane) you get like -50 or -100 points which would get you kicked from almost any server.
The only problem I can see that would need to be fixed first is making it imposable for people to stand in front or around the plane to be TKed after you get into it (which just pisses me off)!

I thought it was a good idea at first and it is an excellent idea but, you might end up having the best pilots in the jets and heli's all the time and hence the ground pounders would be whining like patch 1.12 was back with an upgraded air force complete with sheilds and cloaking devices.

For example, the idea of making it so you have to apply for a plane is flawed. How 'bout if a person applies and then later decides no to fly. How long does it take for their "application" to expire while the plane sits idle ont he ground. And basing a persons criteria to fly based upon their experience is not fair and would discourage new players (and without new players this game would die off a lot sooner). Someone stated that they could learn to fly on single player - great, but how does the system rate their experience from single player.
There is no easy solution. Personally I would just like to see the kick voting changes so less players are needed to kick someone. As it is now, you need players from both teams to vote in order to remove someone. People aren't going to vote to kick someone on the other team for TKing. Then if those of us with brains would actually work together to kick people for TKing for planes or causing a TK by standing int he way - then we might be able to keep these smacktards in check.
there should be a training thing in bf2, kinda like americas army's lectures. only for piloting jets and helis, they have to make it hard enough so not every1 can fly, including written tests (multiple choice) and flight training which contains bombing runs (at least hit sumthing in 1 min, cant be too hard though) and when finish training u have a congrats screen and it uploads finished training thing to bfhq, and players that didnt finish the aircraft training cannot get near runway. so but there will be an apply button as well, only the person who has the most kills or kd ratio in jet gets first priority.
Against.. screw you man.. its a game.. getting sick off people saying u cant fly get out of the plane.. they need to practice aswell.. and u cant practice dog fights in your own local server.. so just give every1 a chance to fly.. I'll bet u sucked once aswell

Love the tk's cause it makes all the plane whores miserable, I still think they should make it like in BFV where if you tk you die as well. Doesn't matter if your in the plane or out of it tk the person dies and you die as well. Problem solve and plane whores wouldn't be as whoree either.
