I recently got a bigger monitor, and with it, the ability to play at a higher res. I used to run BF2 at 1024x768, and I tried going to the largest available: 1600x1200. However, I've been getting some problems with the text:
Have a look at the "Server Message" part, as well as "CONQUEST" beneath the map. You can see that next to some of the letters (c,p,d,b) there are small white lines.
In the in game text, the black boarders around the letters are full of gaps:
The scoreboard has also underwent a change:
Old (1024x768)
New (1600x1200)
Then theres the kit selection menu, where there are gaps between the tiles. Also, next to the SCAR and L96 icons, you can see those white lines again.
If I set the resolution back to 1024, all this disappears. Or at least, the resolution becomes so low that I can't see them.
Which begs the question: Is there something I can do to get rid of these things, or is it just a problem that everyone has when setting BF2 to high resolutions which I need to put up with?
