- BF2/2142 Hit reg fix
If you are bitching that the program doesn't work yet you haven't even downloaded it, go jump in a fire pit and die.
K thread over.
K thread over.
These fools miss the point. This doesn't make you aim better, it makes the bullets you shoot at someones body register better. If you suck at aiming, too bad, this isn't for you.
I don't know guys, nobody is pushing you to use this program. I wouldn't say that my hit reg was bad, actually it was only on some specific people who were too dusty (usersettings.con? ) or servers. Well, I am going to give it a try on some servers where I couldn't hit a sh!t and will see. Anyway, I am glad that someone actually cares about this game and is trying to do something.
Also, why would very big part of INF ladder players bother to change them? Is there also a placebo? I just can say that it definitely wont harm your reg, all it can do is to improve it...

Just play default, tweaks dont work
Works best on high ping servers.legionair wrote:

Thanks for sharing this, It helped a little for me when playing servers that i ping at about 35-50, i found it genuinly easier to hit moving targets effectively and headshots were more effective, although i still see plenty of dust now and then, whether or not this programme is meant to prevent that i don't know.
I have yet to try it on high ping servers, and i doubt i will in the near future considering my game no longer works (not to do with HitFixer, at least i don't think so).

i dont care if it works or not...but as long as it "seems" to be working as a placebo effect..then why not use it?
Play some single player. You can still dust enemies there, so some of it is just silly Battlefield.although i still see plenty of dust now and then
Yes, that is correct. If you start up a local server with a couple of PCs on a LAN, you can mess around and also discover that not only is there dust when there is no lag, but it's not even unique to moving targets. You can get dust on an unmoving target with a headshot...DupaUnit wrote:

From this application, and a few other AHK apps I've made in the past, I've had 2 (out of 100?) people I gave the EXE version of my app to report that their Anti-Virus software quarantined the application as a Trojan. If I remember correctly, it was only AVG Anti-Virus that did this. From reading on the AHK forums, this false positive should no longer happen since the latest release of AHK.Ph4s3 wrote:
The good ol' "it's detected as a trojan but I dunno why, it's fine" thing should have raised a red flag for everyone.
If you don't trust it, then just download (and view if you want) the source code version.

Still got wrong syntax error here. Do I have to minimize the hitfixer window or just leave it there? Does this program support non-English Windows?
Just realized that I have changed the name of bf2.exe to improve fps. Maybe the hitfixer failed to recognized the game. Is there any solution?

you might have same problem as I had - just after you click Ctrl+0 push Ctrl button again and write your ping in. Should work.jermin wrote:

I ran it yesterday no change, but now bf2 crashes to desktop every time I try to join a server .
Open the script after you join a game. Or is it doing it without the script loaded?wah1188 wrote:

Doing it regardless I've only just reformatted like 4 weeks ago I'm not up for doing that again.ebug9 wrote:

It's happened to me before and a reinstall fixed it. No need to reformat though.
Thanks for your advice, m8. Will try it out later. I have renamed the .exe to original bf2.exe and tried this tool. All I can say is wow, just amazing! Now I can achieve headshots at looooong distance with AK 101 in auto mode. Bear in mind that I could barely address hits in single mode at that range. I have to say the hitreg has improved dramatically. Now I can kill one within 2 burst of M16 in close combat. I have even scored 5 kills with only one magazine just a moment ago. But there's one thing I'm not so sure. Do I have to apply settings once again after side change or map change?legionair wrote:

It should save the settings to your usersettings.con file. You shouldn't have to re apply after side/map change.
Q:
But there's one thing I'm not so sure. Do I have to apply settings once again after side change or map change?
A:
When you change the settings, they will be saved until the next time you change them. Meaning once you set HitFixer to your ping, say 60, the settings will remain at 60 through map changes, different servers, and even when you close and relaunch Battlefield. The only time you will need to reset the values is when you join a NEW server with a different ping.

Is there a possibility you did anything else to have caused this aside from using HitFixer? The reason I ask is because all HitFixer does is modify your Usersettings.con file. It seems highly unlikely that this could have caused the crash.wa1188 wrote:

Can you post the contents of your "Usersettings.con" file so we can see if those settings are OK?
UserSettings.con can be found here:
%BF2 INSTALL DIRECTORY%\mods\bf2\Settings\Usersettings.con
And it should look something like this:
rem
rem Settingsfile automatically saved by bf2
rem
SettingsManager.boolSet GSClPunkBuster 1
SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.041000
SettingsManager.boolSet GSExtrapolateFrame 0
SettingsManager.U32Set GSExtrapolationTime 492
SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 41
SettingsManager.U32Set GSPerfLogAtPlayerCount 99
SettingsManager.stringSet GSPlayerName "=BB= WaltBerkman"
SettingsManager.boolSet GSShowNetGraph 0
SettingsManager.boolSet GSUseObjectCache 1
My thought's exactly I highly doubt I did anything to my computer for it to change usually BF2 only ever stops working when I update my graphics drivers. I dunno guess I'll try reinstall if else fails.DupaUnit wrote:

Isnt bad hitreg due system specs too (especially slow HDD, CPU, and not enough ram)? This game is very hardware sensitive, and should have minimum 40FPS+ for fast player positions calcs. (all player/vehicle etc models are loaded to memory since map start anyway, even when you dont see them, so fast hardware is a must). Also ping/connection between players is main reg factor, if someone gets puff clouds, better to check your and enemys ping diffrences and not usersettings.con, also server ping is worth to consider. I think nobody thought about that (who have time during game, right), and when they have good hitreg its only because you and your enemys ping is equal enough (or WAS when u killed him) + you are on good server config.
27 ping... but ill try it..RiCKRoLLd wrote:
