I use to be able to do 40-50 in less than a minute then I would get tired since you do it too fast
If I do it slowly I do about maybe 20
If I do it slowly I do about maybe 20
Something like 40 if I do them quickly or 70ish if I take things slow. For a fatty I'm rather fit.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
My record is like 30, but it's all really slow.
Now it's probably more like 20 at most.

Wow how can you bar curl so much, I reckon I bar curl half of my benchpress.rh27 wrote:
For most of the claims here, I'm willing to bet 80% are false.
If you can do more than 20 or 30 press ups in a minute, you're doing them wrong or have them confused with some other exercise. Knees on the floor? Not a press up. Back not straight? Not a press up. Arms not completely bent? Not a press up.
I've worked out for around 5 months now as part of training for a fitness event I'm attending in a year or so.
Currently the most press ups I can comfortably do is around 80, and it takes at least 6 minutes to finish the set.
(For perspective I'm currently bar curling 40kg, benchpressing 55kg and arm curling 20kg. Most people consider me quite muscly if the weights don't mean a whole lot to you.)
In fact it makes it considerably harder to do them slowly then just bob your head up and down and think you're actually making a difference.
When I first saw them bow flex dumbbells I thought "Wow! how do they work must be some space age technology" then it dawned upon me when you twist the lock the dumbbells just lock onto more weights. They look really handy if your going to work out at home.Kmarion wrote:
I have those as well.. they are not not all shiny-chrome like though . I usually do pushups just to warm up.
I love those best five pound piece of fitness equipment ever.

20 average.
Hit 30 once.
The only sport I play is paintball, and I don't play that too often.
..I most just take pictures of it.

The first time, I was hit into the boards in hockey and my left arm went into them at a funny angle which snapped the growth plate on my wrist in half and fractured my hand as well worst spring break yet . The second time, I was playing some tackle football for fun with some friends and some asshole tackled me and I landed funny on my right arm, breaking my right elbow. If that wasn't enough I had my appendix out about two weeks later... It's been one hell of a year for me.

well, we can all agree that these types of threads just derail lol. I don't think the OP expected the thread to go where it is now.

Going by size is really stupid. Hell, when I was in 5th grade, there were girls who were 10 who could do 100, and guys who were 10 who could do 120.HurricaИe wrote:

I can do 50 in one minute, no bullshit. Some convict straight out of the pen' challanged me at a bar one night. He did 46, I did 50. He wasn't too happy.
I am the push-up champ.
I'm about 5'7" and 135 lbs.

I don't know about push-ups, but I can do 24 pull-ups in a row, I'm working to get 30 in a row.

I do around 100 in a row, ju jit su training 5 nights a week gets you into major shape, by the end of the summer I'll probably do around 175-200.
For situps I can do about 72 a minute last time I timed myself.
