Please tell me, if you put the gear to 1, will the car move forward by itself?

Surprisingly not.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Depends on the ground (obviously). But taking an educated guess, if you have the clutch in then no..

Only on weekends

No

It uses a sequential (semi-automatic) gearbox

Ah yeah, not sure about the F430 but definitely the Enzo has the semi. Engage clutch, selects new gear whilst giving turbo, disengage clutch all in 100ms apparently.

Ayumiz, you win the prize for posting the most random threads.

Wouldn't only diesels/turbo diesels drive on their own with no throttle?

Nah, in a regular car if you find the bite well enough you can pull away in 1st.

nope! Every car with automatic shifting and semi automatic drives without throttle... my old M3 CSL "manual shifting" did also... Guess it depens on the power of the engine a little bit too...

well if its semi-automatic, then its not sequential. True Sequential gearboxes have a foot operated clutch

wrong, what about a Alfa 156 with the manual/auto box

it acts as if the clutch is in until it gets to a certain rev (like 950 or something)
rolls back if on a hill and such
