Converting FLV files to MPEG Files

Okay so I want to actually be able to watch the Youtube videos I downloaded using the Youtube video download tool. Unfortunately it the vids in a weird format know as FLV.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a FREE program that allows me to convert them into an MPEG file for something else that is watchable.

Videora Ipod converter. it even puts the video into Itunes. ( YES, I use Itunes to connetc to my Ipod) it's eays to sue, and works really well.

EDIT- and it's free.

Videora iPod Converter

I use it to convert my FLV viles to MP4 files (to work on iPod). Go to 'Power Mode' and use MPEG4 VGA 768kbps Stereo/128kbps. If that doesn't work use the same mode but 'avi synth' afterwards.

Super is a great program to have on your computer...

However I just play all my FLV videos using VLC, it will play it fine, but you will not be able to fast forward past what you have already seen. Once the video plays you can skip back... and forward up to where ever you have watched but if you try and go past what you have played up too it will just skip to the next video
