is it me or is it people are placing claymores around flags that can be detinated when an enemy gets too close to them... i know from seeing it after 1.2 patch that there are no team kills from claymores anymore...

the one and only thing with claymores at the mo is the bloody trip radius. it is stupid! you can detonate 1 just by looking at it at times from a good 10 feet or so. this needs reducing to about 5 or so feet. that'd stop the noobs...

And, claymores are OK now, but too many of them gets annoying. Nowhere near as bad as noob tubing or C4 throwing though. Thank goodness EA fixed THAT!

There has been an influx of the use of claymores and mines because before 1.2, every sniper and engineer were scared to put them down due to punishes.  I am sure that it will settle down after a while, but people who have not been able to use them since the game was released are now able to experiment with them.

I play both sniper and engineer almost exclusively and I am very happy with the new changes.  Although, they really should allow 1 or 2 grenades to detonate claymores while mines should require 4 or 5 grenades to detonate.  Artillery should also remove both.  The current situation allows complete and total denial of real estate  with no means of getting rid of them by the opposing team.  That ain't really fair.

since 1.2 ppl have nothing to loose by placing claymore so they put it everywere. 1.21 will make it so that you can only drop 2 at a time. still the whoring will continue

This makes snipers waste their claymores (ocasionally):

1. Stand by a claymore for a while (or be near to it(not very near or you'll explode)).

2. After a while, the claymore disappears.

It might work.

I think they funny thing about this is that even though friendlies don't detonate claymores anymore, they can still be killed by them if they do go off. That part makes sense, what doesn't is when your friendly punishes you for the TK when they know full well you had absolutely nothing to do with it.

People who punish for 95% of team kills are ass holes anyways. If your the only one in an enemy base, that at the time happens to have 20 enemies in it, dont punish when a plane flyes over to nuke thier ass, and gets you aswell.

If you see a horde of enemies running at you, and beside you is the big ass red skull and cross bones, either get the fuck out of the way, or dont punish.

I dont think ive ever punished a TK, minus when some guy on my team just walks up and caps me when we first spawn, that happens and I punish for that.

couple of times i have crawed up on them when engineer and pick them up but  they do blow a little too far.its a little nice with them not teamkilling. before when i lay down AT mines someone would take a jeep or tank and drive right over them then punish

There is still a way to get tked by mines. You jump out of your veichle the second it hits the mine so your not in it, the veichle explodes by a friendly mine, since your in the blast radius you get tked...

Not really in the case of the mines. If you're an engineer you can still take out the wrench and pick up the mines.

Why is EVERYTHING considered whoring when it is a playing style that YOU don't like???.....So far everyone has been airplane whoring, helicopter whoring, GL whoring, C4 whoring, tank whoring, APC whoring, sniper whoring, ( heard that 1 today, someone mad cuz he was getting "sniper whored" at main base). claymore whoring, nade whoring, flashbang whoring, med pack whoring, revival whoring, ammo whoring,etc.......

So i guess, in order for us ALL to have fun,and not offend anybody, we all need to be assult, stay out of vehicles, use nothing except M16, or G36C and for god sake, nobody try and move or evade when you are spotted, cuz we don't want any bunny hoppers or dolphin divers to play either........feel free to add to this list of DON'TS ...........see you all in church!!! LOL
