Hey I haven't played bf2 in a long time and i feel like coming back to it so i installed it and all right and i logged on but it says i can't go into the matches because i have a 1.1 version of the game i don't know what to do i downloaded 1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4 and i installed them too and still nothing it is still at 1.1 andi can't play online matches for that reason can anyone help me?

make sure you downloaded the MOST RECENT patch.

this (.) is called a period.  use it.

Have you downloaded patch 1.41?

It's different from patch 1.4

Suggest you download that and install it. You don't need to install previous patches to get up to date (You can go straight from the CD to patch 1.41)

Did you install Special Forces after you patched? Installing Special Forces requires a repatch becuase in converts bf2 back to an older patch.

No i don't have special forces and okay ill try to get 1.41 thanks for the help :> And this isn't a essay coronado so idc :>

^Still, it pisses most people off when you don't use periods.  Comma's, I can understand, but no periods makes it hard to read.

I was gonna install BF2 today, but my internet is teh shit(100KB/s semi-stable max, 80KB/s high average) and I didn't feel like downloading the 450MB patch now, then again on Monday when they release the new one.

So Monday it is then.

Ahh crap, and I have to download AF again too
