man I was so nervous it took me forever to go to sleep last night, woke up extra early this morning, got to the place like 2 hours early to drive around a bit, sat in the dmv for like an hour listening to weird people. man that place is so messed up, laughed at a few old ladies who were completely clueless (hope they didn't get their license ), but started really freaking out once I was next. Finally this older guy shows up looking like he wanted someone to end his life he was so burned out, he may have asked me for a gun I couldnt really remember. We got into the car and the very first turn i screwed up, and every 10 seconds he was writing crap down. After like 10 min it was finally over, he took me and my dad into a little corner and started telling me all the stuff i did wrong, and im like crap i failed, but then hes like you passed!! YAYZ!!! now i can finally drive and not beg my parents to take me places

I did all three tests (written/oral/driving) flawless
At least tell me you took the test on a manual transmission.
What your test only lasts 10 mins????
If so that is way easy in comparison to the tests in the UK.

It's much quicker cause we drive on the correct side of the road.Sydney wrote:

Obviously none of the 'bunch of fail' was anything serious, or else he would not have passed. I don't see how that warrants snide comments about nationality.Sydney wrote:

We drive on the right side in Iceland, not left.TrueMusou wrote:

Congrats, but slightly worried about the 10 minutes test!
My test lasted like...15-20 minutes.
I only missed 5 points on it, and it was because I failed to use my wipers in a light mist. Honestly, what the fuck si thaT?

Was your dad in the car during the test? huh if so that must be odd, did´nt that make you even more freaked out?CosmoKramer wrote:

no it was after in the building, but I don't I personally thought I did awful, but maybe I was believed it myself I dont know, he almost failed me because I turned when a light was switching from yellow to red, so i got extremely lucky because that would have been an auto fail and no license for the summer for memadmurre wrote:

The exam is way too easy in USA, and it really shows, at least in Massachusetts. I swear every hour I'm on the road, somebody almost hits me. People running stop signs, turning where they can't, going straight where they can't. At this point I'm so close to running them off the road because I've had enough of their crap. I wish they'd bring harder tests back, I'll admit I wouldn't have gotten my license if they were harder but it only makes you a better driver.
