K, here goes. This weekend I wanted to get my Veteran Sniper Badge. I didn't have the badge in normal BF2 and also not in SF.
Fridaynight I started playing SF to get some Sniper time which I first had to made. I got the ammount of hours necessary for the Veteran Sniper Badge.
On Saturday I had the needed time and decided to get the badge in SF. All went well and I got the badge. The weird thing is: I got the badge while playing SF and it ended up in my normal BF2stats. So on unday I checked my stats and I didn't have it in SF but in normal BF2. I was like: WTF? I got it in SF and it's showing in normal BF2? On the SFside of my badges it showed that I still had the BasicSniperBadge.
Then I decided to check something out and went as a sniper again on SF and tryed going for the Veteran Badge again. I got the ammount of needed kills and got the Badge again.

So, if you play SF and you don't have the badge on normal BF2, you'll first receive it there and then you have to do the same thing again for SF?

Another thing:
I got the 5 hours of playing as a British SAS for this ribbon but it's still not showing that I got it. Do I need to win as British SAS first or how does this work?

The requirements for BF2 combat badges and SF combat badges differ.
You need 16 hours sniper time for SF (instead of 15 for BF2) and 17 IAR kills (instead of 15).
So if you have 16 hours as sniper and play on a SF map you get your Veteran Sniper Combat Badge with the 15th kill and your Veteran Sniper Specialist with the 17th kill.
All BF2 Awards can be earned on any SF map but you can't earn SF awards in BF2.

Ok... I am in a good mood so I don't say "use the fucking search"...

If you play SF and you have the time requirements for the SF Badge but don't have the BF2 badge either, you first receive the BF2 badge and then the SF badge. The BF2 badge has lower time requirements AND less kill requirement in a round (example: Basic Sniper badge: 10 kills in a round, Basic Sniper Specialist: 11 kills... Veteran Sniper badge: 15 kills in a round + 15 hours sniper, Veteran Sniper Specialist: 17 kills + 16 hours sniper).

Concerning the SAS Service Ribbon... BF2S is still inaccurate on the requirements of the SF Service badges... you need those 5 hours in that army AND 50 hours in that theatre... that means you need to play 50 hours on those maps the army in question is deployed (on that team or the opposing does not matter). According to other sources you need to have played at least once on each map the army is deployed though I cannot confirm or deny that.

I did use the search button (although briefly I must admit because I'm checking this from my work).
Thank you for the answers.
