it was right at the end of the fight. well it was more of a push to the face but it was a borderline slap

That was nasty. I thought Kimbo slapped him in the head with a jelly donut the way that thing exploded.

Kimbo needs some work.

oh come on. At the end of the fight thompson is on his feet still and kimbo is flat on his back. kimbo just doesnt have the stamina.

Yeah that youtube video doesn't show Kimbo against the cage with both his arms pinned while thompson elbows him about 30 times in a row. Yeah, they might not have been doing much damage, but Kimbo wasn't defending himself. For a whole god damn minute. Or it doesn't show when Thompson took Kimbo down and was moving from side control and got stood up after 10 seconds in that position.

I think honestly the doctors weren't used to mma. The Scott Smith Robbie Lawler fight ended in bullshit too. The whole crowd was yelling it. His eye got poked, he had 5 minutes to wait it out. Instead the doctor comes in and says he can't fight after 2 minutes. Then the next fight is the Kimbo vs. Thompson fight.


Such garbage. Too be honest I was pissed when the fight ended too, and was thinking god damn I'd probably do worse to that ref after getting a terrible call.

At least we got WEC 34 tonight.

Sounds like watering down of violence due to the new network coverage :S

That's exactly what it is. I don't know how the casual mma viewer see's it, but most people who watch is fairly often were probably dissapointed. I just wish the debut of mma on network television wasn't so... sloppy.

This would have been the end of Kimbo with a top notch MMA fighter. Thompson was trying the guillotine with Kimbos arm. Should have done it with only his head... it looked possible but he never went for it.
