post drummers who you think are bitching.

imo, Thomas Pridgen is the best out there right now.

also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQh0WPKp8Ds . even better live imo. he also plays jazz. and no 2x bass.

Rush is a great band as well; saw them live a few years ago. its a very different style of drumming, and Neil Peart is definitely talented.

but thats why i made this thread. people have opinions on stuff like this.

Roy Mayorga

Only video I can find of him that's decent, this is not his full solo talent.
Seen him live Sepultura/Rammstein Concert doing a 10+ min solo. never yet heard anything close to as good.
20+ piece set or some shit he was playing on.

When I heard TMV replaced their drummer, I was a little bit sad. But now that I hear this guy, I have no doubts he'll fit the band (I've got their latest album and have had it ever since it came out, but still haven't even listened to it yet )

its worth it. i havent listened to it in 4 months tho; trying to help the buildup to the vinyl release next week.

thomas definitely brings a different style to TMV, but i like it a lot. TMV is glad to have thomas, and thomas is glad to have tmv = win/win

blackwell is up there in amazing jazz drummers. definitely good, but a lot of people give him shit for using a 2x bass; i say, if you can use it sparingly, go ahead.
