i cannot connect to either my bf2 account or 2142 for the last few days. i have tried everything i can think of to fix this even formated my harddrive and reinstalled everything but still cannot connect even with firwall and anti virus not installed. the rest of my internet is fine no problems. i have a cable modem so its not a router problem. i ran a tracert to 207.38.11.34 and it will not finish after the 3rd hop the request just time out. my isp (virginuk) say my connection is fine and there is nothing they can do the problem is with my computer but after a fresh format and no anti virus or firewall installed and windows firewall disabled i dont see how it can b. the tracert shows me the connection is leaving my computer and geting stuck else wer but i am no expert so can some 1 help me out and confirm either i am a numpty or my isp is lol thnx.

i dont know how i came across this because ive been googling for days and this is the 1st metion of it a dns flush. i enetered ipconfig/dnsflush in cmd an bf2 is now up an runnin. i have no idea wot a dns flush is or does but hopefully this may help others
Actually, its Start/Run/Cmd then "ipconfig /flushdns" minus the "'s.
Isn't a DNS flush just a clearing of the DNS cache and a refresh thereof?
