So why does EA think they can pull off a stunt like that one? There is NOTHING new in this version.
Uninformed opinion much?
1. Completely revamped economic control systems
2. Diversification of land and water, making both integral parts of the game
3. 3rd faction, so its more interesting than the same CoH battle over and over..... (even though RA2 allowed mirrors)
4. Less emphasis on tank spam + huge battles by controlling income rates, more emphasis on specific unit abilities
1. Wow, great, new ways of making money.
2. Excellent, now can they make the size ratio of unit : land actually correct?
3. Same CoH battle over and over? RA never required tactics much. CoH does. A CoH battle was always different, no matter what map.
4. Great, another super sniper who can walk ( or should I say, disappear ) into buildings and start picking off people.

None of their so called "innovations" are very inspiring. They are basic things that have been done for an expansion pack.

If Command and Conquer has taught me anything about gaming it's that you don't need to be innovative to be fun. If find CnC3 allot more fun than the molasses speed gameplay of Company of Heroes, even though CnC3 offers nothing new at all.

Good to see you've got your head around good RTS design.......

It looks absolutely awful. Nothing new, same graphics, unreal terrain and AI, unreal movements from soldiers ( always in a square or bunch, never like CoH or WiC ).

They should really take a page out of WiC's or CoH's book. This is going to be a failure.
This is a different kind of game altogether. Comparing the two is pointless.
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

I'm with Spark too, the C&C games aren't exactly deep. If I want a challenging and thought intensive RTS I'll go with SC, WC3, CoH or DoW. As far as having a quick adrenaline packed game, C&C3 was great. The C&C games are kinda like the dumb blondes of the RTS world excepting generals and possibly C&C1 and RA1. Zimmer does have a point about scale though, C&C3's was baaaad at times considering the average number of tanks that would end up on the field. Meh, wish I'd caught a game of C&C3 with some of you blokes.

I was pretty quick. SPAAAAAAM!
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
