I have View distance set to 100%, but every other round or so, the distance (even if stated 100% in settings menu) are down to like 300mtrs, I then have to restart BF and will be OK, for a round or two.
Have tried several Drivers for my gfx card(Nvidia 7900GT), and I have been strangely out of luck finding any hints to this problem in forums, or Google for that matter.Any ideas?

Are you experiencing "error reading from the server" messages after playing, and you get booted to the log-in menu? If so, BF2's the program having the problem. Every time that error occurs, your video settings will be screwed up. You have to quit the game and come back, everything should be back to normal.

Thanx Cyrax, that's exactly the case, the booting I can deal with, takes not too long to log in, and my fav server is near the ping top, so...but since I like to heli nowadays, a 300m view distance is just nota acceptable
So the rpoblem is not at my end per say? Or is there anything i can do to fix it?

Nothing you can do, it's down to GameSpy (server hosts for many online games) to fix the problem. Just quit the game and come back in, you'll be good. Good luck.
