I recently bought CoD1 as i lost the disc a while back and wanted to play it, I installed and everything looked fine, but when i try and open SP i get an error report, i uninstalled and reinstalled but the same thing happened again, i was wondering if anyone else had this problem that they can remember and how they solved it

Yes, this happened to me too.

I called Chuck Norris and he roundhouse kicked my computer, and it worked.

Before installing, did you clear all your config files of the previous installation?

I would try reinstalling/re-patching.

uninstall it with ccleaner and make sure the registry entry has been removed, that worked for me, so good luck.

i am extremely dense when it gets to this stuff

i have downloaded ccleaner, how do you use it to uninstall games? all i can see is for cleaning windows apps etc

Delete the Call of Duty folder completely before installing; worked for me.

ok, deleted everything, done it with ccleaner and still doesnt work
