Problem With Joystick

Hello all this is my first post in the forums and I having a problem with my joystick.

So here it is: Windows recognizes my joystick im able to move it around if i use the windows configuration thing. However Battlefield 2 does not recognize my joystick. Any thoughts or fixes?

Have you set the controls?

Press Escape in-game > Options > Controls > Helicopter (or) Aircraft. Set your controls.

Do what Sniper said and use the joystick to set your secondary controls. Not many newer games recognize the joystick controls.

Yes i have done this repeatedly when i set it it doenst place anything in the secondary controls box
