Given I unistalled Doom 3 halfway through due to boredom, I dont have high expectations for the next. Storyline was bland, and the "horror" was terrible, never really jumped at all through it, couple creepy moments, but most were predictable to the point I was saying to myself "$10 something is gonna pop out of the hole" 20 seconds later "Oh no, a zombie!" Yawn.

Provided iD learns from the monster closet disaster that marginalized Doom 3, this could be a good game.

Last Man Standing Coop is where D3 multiplayer is at, at any rate. Otherwise, you're pretty good with ZDoom / ZDaemon and Ultimate Doom / Doom 2.

I liked Doom 3. The story wasn't much, and the gameplay took awhile til it got interesting with more monsters.

If Doom 4 is based more of Doom 1 and 2 hell on earth story then it should be good.

More like Starcraft:Ghost (yes i know it canceled now) then Doom 3 with that kind of delay.
