South park and Simpsons are hardly preachy. Shows like Family Guy are so pointless, it makes other shows with even the slightest message seem preachy.

Futurama ftw to be honest. I was a huge Family Guy fan when it first came out, watched Adult Swim, bought the dvds, and was happy when the new seasons came. Then I watched the new seasons. No longer a fan.

South Park stopped being funny long time ago. They used to make an episode about the show characters and mock someone or something on the side. But most of the humour was done by the characters. Now they just pick a "controvorsial" subject and devote the entire episode to it. Sometimes cartman get like 2 lines in the episode and hes the funniest one in the show.
