GTA4 problem!

I have had GTA4 since the release day, everything was working fine, no crashes or anything, then this morning i goes to load up the game and it just sits there loading....and loading....and loading.
So i decides to delete my save file because i thought i was corrupted or something, so i tires it again and the same happens, it will not work!!

Btw this is on a 40GB PS3.

What the hell should i do?

Delete the whole of GTA4 from the system, including the installation file i did at the beginning?

Yeah try once more if more, if it happens again...Then re-install I guess.

Edit: Actually, leave it over night and try tomorrow...Also, try giving the disc a clean.

How far were you in the game?

I was on the 'F' as a marker, on the small island up north, not too far in.

But ive just tried it and it will not work

What do i do ??

I've had the exact same problem too, and I found a solution. First, take your GTA 4 disc out of your ps3, and then turn it off. Turn the system back on, log in, and then put the game in, so that the system loads it by itself, without you having to manually start it. It should load up fine, all by itself.
