Low temps lova Koolance has announced that its high-end 1300/1700W water-cooled power supply has been delayed and that it won't start selling until late June. The unit, dubbed PSU-1300ATX-12 offers up to 1300W of continuous power when hooked up to a 110-volt AC line and up to 1700W when 220V are available.
Requiring an existing water-cooling system, the PSU features a compact liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger developed exclusively by Koolance, an efficiency of 83% on average, supports SLI and CrossFire setups, an internal temperature monitor and weights a massive 7.5 kg. The PSU also provides four 12V rails and will be backed up by a three year warranty.
Set to start being delivered from June 27, Koolance's power supply costs $624.99.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Watercooled PSU's are pretty worthless, your power supply doesn't perform better if it is cooled with water than air. If anything, it will just add unnecessary heat to your loop and dampen your cooling on your CPU, rendering the whole watercooling setup useless. You might as well go with air.

A watercooled power supply would add more heat than necessary to your cooling loop. You didn't read my post at all did you?.Sup wrote:

Tell me how do you know its easy to cool a 1700W PSU on air? You tested that PSU and checked temps or what? People don't say its fail until there are some reviews. A watercooling kit does not add more heat, that monster of a PSU will add tons of heat to the watercooling setup, reducing it's efficiencly a lot. If it's so hot that it can't be cooled with air, it's gotta be generating like 2-300 watts of heat. That itself is a really great point in not getting this thing. Adding 200w of heat to already existing 400w from quad graphics cards and 120 from a quad core, the water cooling setup will be a lot less effective..Sup wrote:
