A person's mental gender and physical gender can differ, and it's not always clear-cut male or female. A lot of things can go wrong in the process that makes a person male or female.

A large part of it is the fact that the female/male brain has been conditioned from a young age to become accustomed to the body that it was born with and the growth and development of the brain is therefore linked to that body. How is it possible that one day you think 'hey this penis I've had all my life doesn't belong to me'. Actually the ancient Greeks apparently called the sky bronze as they only used four main colours according to Homer who only mentions four colours in both the iliad and the odyssey. They refered to the sky as bronze in the sense that it was very bright like the sheen of a shield rather than actually bronze though.
