Maybe a firewall problem?
The only firewall I have is Windows Firewall and Battlefield, PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB are on the exceptions list. Meaning that it will not be prevented from accessing the internet.aimless wrote:

Hmm.. i've gotten that error before, and PBSetup fixed it. Maybe repatch? And if that fails reinstall.

I got this message a couple of years back. It might be a stick of RAM has fried (A clanmate solved his one this way).
I ended up doing a full reformat and reinstall (That's Windows, not just BF2)
