Hay just got my PC back from getting reformatted. OK the think is I DL BF2 and the 1.4 patch but no servers showed up on my list. What do i have to do now. friend of mine said you might have to DL the 1.3 patch first and then the 1.4.

Any help or comments please fell free to tell my. MAN DO I REALLY MISS PLAYING BF2...........

mods/bf2/shaders/lighting.fx not found!!! _DO_check your working directory, _AND_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)

That what the error says in the game.

Are you sure it was 1.41 and not 1.4 you got? Start up BF2 and take a SS of the menu screen. Your version number is on the top right.

You know what it might have been 1.4 and not 1.41 ok will try that too.

Hay Fat I did and i got it to DL but while loading up it says "patch failed"

May be BF2 doesn't like like my Computer. How do you uninstall the patches, O wait they never installed in the 1st place. Should i uninstall BF2 and then try it again?

Yep, Battlefield 2 is picky about what to install, and when. If you have just the game, install it, and then Download as well as install the patch, and all should go well.

NOTE: Sometimes Anti-Virus and/or Firewall programs can block/use Internet ports that Battlefield 2 requires. Try disabling your Anti-Virus and anything else you might have running, and then try searching for servers. (Assuming you have the LATEST patch installed correctly)

+Refer to the Battlefield 2 instruction/Owner's manual about which TCP/Internet ports BF2 uses.

Just wondering if you ever fixed the problem, because it seems like I have the same one, but doing all that has been said in this thread hasn't worked for me
