Very nice, as always. I wonder how much hassle would shipping one over here be....

none really, noobest.

the big issue is customs, and that would be handled on your end. you would have to clear it with them, that it would be ok to have an "ornamental knife" sent to you.
once they understand that you will never use it, you can get it.

UPS Worldship does all things international. You fill out a simple Airbill, have a commercial looking invoice and viola.
I believe the customs, if any are paid by the receiver when they get the product.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. I got my Parker custom Hunter model today.
It's badass, i'll post pix and a mini-review later.

So I got the Hunter. It's the same one as shown on page two of this thread. Shipping was prompt. It has a cool handmade look to it with just enough imperfections to add character. The file work is awesome, and check out the balance;

glad you like it man, i love the way that knife feels in the hand.
hope you like the sheath as well....like i said, im still kinda new to leather work, so of course there are some imperfections (STITCHES!), but it is functional, and i love that dye color.

anyway, im really glad you like it, and thank you.

hey parker, ever seen anything like this before?

http://dvice.com/archives/2007/01/bewar … _metal.php

ignore that asshat commentary... that blade is awsm.  wonder if its too brittle for a knife though...

ya, ive seen those before.
in fact, ive seen a lot of composite blades. they are cool, but a little out of my area.

glock, i believe produced a porcelain knife that i really liked, but was never able to get a hold of.

One of my favourite knife types, I think I remember Parker saying he was thinking of making one:

indeed i do want to attempt a kukri, mek.

i have always loved that design, and i dont know another knife that has such good slashing qualities.
its on my list....behind:
-18 knives
-website stuff
-handle material/firearms
-firearms dealers license
-networking

ok, a series of frame lock folders.
there are all the same model, my entry level Everyday Carry Knives (EDC).
AUS8 stainless steel.
all sold for $70 a piece.

this first one has amboyna burl for the handles....very cool stuff, IMO.

next one has california buckeye burl for handles. its a very light wood, but i love the designs in the stuff.

this last one has desert ironwood for handles.....VERY tough shit. its the only wood i know that will actually sink when you drop it in water (hence the ironwood name).

Nice work Parker, but you need to come up with some new styles/designs. They all look the same except for the handles.

hey parker, have you ever worked with H-1 steel, and if you have, does it live up to the hype of never rusting?

ive never worked with it, but i can tell you that there is NO metal that doesnt rust.

it might take awhile for it to happen, but it will. trust me.

the best i have worked with is the hybrid S30V...damn good stuff, but it will rust as well. granted it can hang out it saltwater for a couple days and not show it, but it happens.
thats the best i could recommend from first hand use...but i might get some H-1 just to see now

I'm especially impressed with the denim knife, and how "tight" it is. Ya know, looks extremely natural, which is somewhat surprising to me.
