News of the deal has fueled speculation that the promised 3G iPhone will come sooner than sometimes forecast, in June or July rather than the fall. Germany's 8GB iPhone was recently cut from €399 to €99, in a deal slated to end after June 30th. General stock of the iPhone, meanwhile, has allegedly dropped to minimal levels not only in the UK, but in France and the US as well. It is a common strategy for companies to try and clear out existing inventory before the arrival of a new, superseding product.

This means that it is likely to see them in the next few weeks drop on eBay to around £200 or so - which is some serious competition against the Nokia N95 - which is still on eBay for well over £250.

If you want it on Yodaphone, get the Samsung F700, amazing phone with slide out keypad. It might be imitating the iPhone but it's so much better.

'New version' isn't out yet. My brother has had his iPhone for many months now and he syncs it during the day and his battery is always at full charge.

yes but can you replace the battery?

my point being that it's pretty shitty that it cant be done. i dont know if its just a way to make more money, or to insult the iphone users, but the bottom line is that there are better, cheaper smartphones.

Yes. When you get a contract, you get a free phone. When you get an iPhone contract, you pay out of your ass for one.

Yeh my contracts got something lovely written in, that amounts to "you can have any phone up to the value of £300" - that's across o2's entire phone range.
