man, I think you are right, and I think its overdue really...
I mean, look back at the number of times Jr has had a winning car, in striking position toward the middle, or end of sooo many races...and *poof*
the car goes tight, they cant fix it...or it goes loose, they cant fix it...

Its not a problem associatted with this new car either, its been all thru Jr's career with Eury Jr on the pit-box...

I think that even after this few number of races this season, if nobody else, little E is putting preasure on himself to win...he's run well...very well compared to his past 2-3 seasons...
but its not a win...
and hasnt been for 67 races...
He's in a good car, surrounded by good people and good resources
good hell, the best really.

If he cant get to victory lane this weekend after next, at Dega'...imo, something has got to give really.
I know its only...wat...7-8 races in...
Jr has already shown the car is fast and reliable, now the pit stops/adjustments MUST be the same, or it all matters not.

Interesting read, I felt FOX screw up, too.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/blog/fro … scar,76680

One of the big topics on our open thread early in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 was WHERE THE HELL IS THE DAMN RACE???? Seems that many NASCAR viewers tuned in to see the opening laps, but lo and behold, they were stuck watching the Red Sox-Yankees game.

Now, I'm almost as big a baseball fan as my man 'Duk over at Big League Stew, but even I don't bother with Yankees-Red Sox until around August or so. Thus, I can see why some race fans -- particularly those who power-vomit at the sight of any stick-and-ball games -- might be a mite peeved.

However, after doing a little digging around, I realized that the plot thickened. Seems that at least in some segments of the country, Fox decided to cut away from the baseball game with the Yankees at bat in the top of the ninth, down by a run with two outs. (The Baseball Writer has the video here; we can't embed Red Lasso stuff on Yahoo! quite yet. If you hate baseball and love NASCAR, it's well worth a watch.)

Now, that cutaway was just stupid ... even the hardest-core NASCAR fan would concede that you might as well finish out the half-inning. It would be like bailing out of Saturday night's race with three laps left and no clear winner in sight.

So just what the heck happened? Did Fox cut away at different times in different sections of the country? Whatever, I think everybody can agree: it's Digger's fault.

lol

this describes me

I would also like to know what happened, either way...I know I didnt like it, but I'm sure baseball fans didnt either.
Its just more FoxSports getting too many irons in the fire, and not enough cooks to watch'em.

I could care less about the game unless it was for playoffs and the Yankees were losing then I could see staying for the last half inning or however long it was.  I don't hate baseball, I just hate the damned Yankees along with every other New York team in every sport along with all the L.A. teams in every sport.

BAM Racing lands Micro(shit)soft.

This should be interesting.  I wondered why MS wasnt playing aroundwith this idea, or hadnt done so in the past, to be more specific.  I know most NASCAR heads arent your local "tech" guys, but the demographic is there.  Hell, I know 3-4 guys in IT jobs in this puny little town alone that are as a big a race-head as I am.

Seems BAM is giving a little back in the deal too.  There little sponsoship plan that is kinda outlined toward the tail of the article, sounds like a nice oportunity for some smaller companies.

I can see stuff like this happening more often, and on more than one team as the price and commitment required of sponsors continues to climb.
BAM racing has shunted its Cup schedule until this fall...at best.  After the above deal was worked out, it now seems that money etc etc isnt to come as quickly as they thought

Article here:http://www.nascar.com/2008/news/headlines/cup/04/15/bam.racing.done.until.fall.kschrader/index.html

Are they but the first to fall?  The primary sponsor was to be Microsoft...
perhaps BAM found a bug...

This is sad because I've always wanted to see BAM racing do well in the Cup series.  I suspect they way be the first of several 1 and 2 car teams to go under.  Yates better find sponsorship soon or they will be joining BAM by the end of the summer.

The merry-go-round continues at Haas/CNC...

It was announced yesterday that Kenny Schrader will drive the 70 car at Dega' next weekend.

http://www.nascar.com/2008/news/headlin … index.html

I knew Sauter wouldnt last long.  The parting he and Haas/CNC had last season was not pleasant.

as a side note...Jeremy Mayfield still has no ride...at all.  Does this break my heart?  lol no bloody way.  Mayfield was my "Kurt/Kyle Busch" before those two idiots came along.
Jeremy too, needs to hang up his helmet.
