I wanted to play against a friend but we had completely different servers in the list (same filter).
So we couldn't find a server to join and we couldn't see the server if we hosted one ourselves.
So:
What did we do wrong?
Can't You create a server Your friend can join?
(we were on teamspeak and only live 15km from one another)

had this problem with a friend too. we just noticed that we had different patches installed. that was the reason. but anyway you should try after this to have xfire on while you playing coz you or your friend can join the server over xfire then. works well for me.
