Think about what I am saying. People can put pretty much whatever they want up on the Internet, within the laws of whatever country they're in. Is it my fault more people put up sites bashing FOX and O'Reilly than the likes of CNN or BBC? Your liberal-biased argument might work for some people when you're talking about an industry or something but it doesn't really wash when it comes to the Internet...are you claiming the Internet is policed and maintained by some shadowy liberal-biased watchdog?

Maybe there's more sites bashing FOX and O'Reilly because FOX and O'Reilly are so much worse than all the rest of them? Have you thought about that usmarine?

Am I missing something usmarine? You're asking me if there are loads of sites bashing FOX and O'Reilly out there...I'm saying yes.

I don't understand your angle here, are you claiming it's a liberal conspiracy on the world wide web? Conservatives are allowed to use the web too, there's no restrictions as far as I know.

CNN does not show the logo 'news' onscreen while programs other than the real news are being shown (as far as I know, here in Europe anyway). People can easily make a distinction between Larry King and the news. News is about telling the facts, what happened, without circumstantial talk. Now I understand this is difficult for all networks, but that's the way it should be.

FNC shows the logo 'news' 24/24, hinting all their programs are on the same level. That's how marketing works.

I guess my point is CNN is an acronym for "Cable News Network", which is on the bottom corner of the screen.  This is not unusual to anyone, because CNN is the name of the network.  However, Fox News is the name of the channel and if they have their logo on the bottom corner of the screen, it's an insidious tactic meant to deceive the viewers?

The only thing I can say here is that I am smart enough to tell the difference.

Well, I think that just about anybody would ask the same question.  It only makes sense to question the government's efficiency when they hire people who don't speak english and fire those that don't speak spanish when the majority of the workers speak english.

1. It's Belgian waffle, not 'Belgium' waffle, and no, there are several versions.

No, I believe it is an insidious tactic. Subliminal and borderline-liminal semiotics are creeping into every area of modern day TV and advertising. You even see it in newspapers; I remember seeing some story about the Iraq war on the front page of a newspaper a while back (can't remember which one) and the main photo on the front page, which was for a different story to the headline, had some fire fighters in a pose that was clearly reminiscent of the iconic 9/11 photo with the American flag. Many people will dismiss this kind of thing as coincidence but as someone who works in the design end of publishing I can tell you that every picture is scrutinised before inclusion and every angle and interpretation of an image is considered, it's never a mistake or a coincidence (particularly so with front page images).
