There was a guy in my grunt platoon who came over from white house duty. he was one of the dudes who rode in the helicopter with the Prez. He said he didn't mind Bill, but wanted to throw hilldog and chelsea out of the fucking chopper.Major.League.Infidel wrote:

in the US Army, PSYOP is short for Psychological Operations. so PSYOPS would be like saying Psychological Operations's. Only taking the letters from the first syllable.

I'm going to be joining the RAF, unfortunately I probably won't get any pilot position because:
- We don't exactly have that many aircraft
- I don't have 20/20 vision anymore (although I suppose laser surgery could correct that)
But as the cheesy advert goes "you don't have to be a pilot to fly in the RAF" (no I'm not going to be a cook or a janitor you /b/f2s tards )
If you can become a pilot, do it, Mahatma...

I've actually met several pilots who are afraid of heights. When I asked them about it, they said it's completely different...when you're flying, it's a controlled environment (and as the pilot you have the control), while just standing on a ledge looking down is an uncontrolled environment (or at least one YOU don't have control over). Something like that.blademaster wrote:

I got to play some kind of guard for the royal family in '95 when I first joined and they did some kind of base turnover where Fort Ord became some university. Chelsea was such a skank (and obnoxious flirt "Oooh daddy, I want one of those! *points to my roommate*), Bill was pretty cool though. No Hilldog at the time on that trip, I think she was off securing peace for Northern Ireland or doing commando raids in Bosnia.usmarine wrote:

Go Army, and unless your GT/ASVAB scores are maxed out and it makes you some sort of special, be prepared to be screwed with your MOS selection. Recruiters promise a lot of things. In '95 when I joined, only the Army could guarantee your MOS training you signed up for by contract, but if you wash out or get profiled during your MOS school, then you get sent somewhere else by "needs of the Army".
Pilot is by rigorous selection only, can't be guaranteed...same with most SF type stuff. You can get jump school guaranteed when you sign as well as an infantry MOS, so its a good start to being SF or Ranger selected. I went through CI selection, so I got a crazy variety of MOS schooling to back up my field agent work, but I don't recommend that route either as it fucks with your head to have to be yourself but someone else at the same time for years on end, and keep the two compartmentalized.
Don't go AF, you'll be permanently pussified. If you go Marines, be prepared to keep any semblance of your real personality stuffed way up under your hat, but if you're the social pack animal jock type, you'll like them more than Army.
Well it's better than choosing a Civvie Office CareerDon't go AF, you'll be permanently pussified
I know some STS and PR dudes who would disagree...Don't go AF, you'll be permanently pussified
