It is MUCH more challenging, and can be frustrating, but is ultimately more rewarding.

Throttle control is a lot easier, it's a lot more fun, gradual and consistent turns are easier, etc.
However, the actual turning is a little harder, and as Teamsreth said, that's ultimately more rewarding.
Jenspm, are you playing GT5P with the wheel?
