Lol
Fuck 'em.
Maybe they'll lose some business? I doubt it though. They're just bitching about the outcome of the Mexican war-- over 150 years ago. Maybe they should get over it?

A map of pre-1848 America in an ad is offensive? Have we really lost that much to argue about that people are in an uproar over a vodka ad?

It's marketed for Mexico anyways. I agree it's a bit silly but it's probably all in jest.
I'd like to see them try...

Is it just me or did California, Oregon, and Seattle get cut in half?

Oh don't let it bother you. I think it's more like a joke.
Seattle became a state? I bet you mean Washington. :-pHurricaИe wrote:

The implied statement is that the US should not have taken Mexican territory when we whooped them in the Mexican-American War. We could have taken their whole damned country because we seized Mexico City during the war.Ganko_06 wrote:

That would've been cool. We'd be the United States of North America, and Mexico wouldn't be so poor.
where the hell would I get tex mex food then? I'd have to cross the god damned borderFallenMorgan wrote:

My feeling is that we should have just taken over Mexico back then. We had the firepower to do it. That would truly be a case of "Mexico not being so poor." United as a massive nation from Guatemala to Canada, we'd have an even larger economy than we do today, and we'd already be accustomed to speaking 2 languages. We'd probably have a lot more trouble with illegals coming from Central and South America, but everything has its cons.Havok wrote:

Just what right to 'modern Americans' have to live anywhere on that continent anyhow?
Actually, come to that, what right do any of us have to claim any plot of land as 'ours'?
Answer: NONE.

Fuck yeah... It worked pretty well. Taking Mexico would have just been more resources to work with.ATG wrote:

This has never been a matter of right and wrong. It's about who has the most powerful weapons.Scorpion0x17 wrote:
