It's okay. It's decent enough to stay hooked all the way through.Airwolf wrote:

Behind Enemy Lines stars Owen Wilson as an American NATO (I think?) fighter pilot who gets shot down for straying into a no fly zone and spotting some mass grave activity over Srebrnica. It's actually a pretty good action flick that looks and feels a bit like a Bourne Identity style arthouse film. It's a little bit jingoistic but not as much of a propaganda film as you might think. It's directed by an Irishman if I'm not mistaken.
I enjoyed it. One of my favorite war movies.
That would be the Irish director's fault! He made his name directing adverts and is known for 'slick', 'flashy' cinematography. I thought the whole "we never leave a man behind" sentimental nonsense towards the end ruined an otherwise alright movie.Jenspm wrote:
If it's the one with Owen Wilson, it sucks.
The story is ok, but they went overboard with crappy camera effects and angles
worst movie ever. well, among worst movies ever.
Well as far as I'm concerned, you can't beat a war movie, and that was pretty good in my eyes...
Well that was fun. Good film.
I watched '9th Company' the other night, it was pretty good, almost like a Russian version of 'Full Metal Jacket'. It follows a platoon of young Russians from brutal training through to deployment in Afghanistan during the Russia vs. Afghanistan war. Based on true stories too.Unzombified_Zombie wrote:

Platoon is one of my favorites
Mine too. No other movie even scrapes the surface when it comes to a Viet Nam war flick.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

Yeah totally agree. There is not one thing in that movie that pisses me off, and for me that's nearly im-fuggin-possible to do when it comes to war flicks. But Platoon is, and will always be the best Viet Nam war flick- ever. I can't think of any other Viet Nam flick that even comes close to Platoon.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

I saw Hot Shots etc first, and after watching those films, it was hard to take Charlie Sheen seriously in Platoon.jonnykill wrote:
