I am not believing the size of the crowd at Nashville. For a non-cup-companion race, this is a huge crowd for the Nationwide series.

This should be interesting. I wondered why MS wasnt playing aroundwith this idea, or hadnt done so in the past, to be more specific. I know most NASCAR heads arent your local "tech" guys, but the demographic is there. Hell, I know 3-4 guys in IT jobs in this puny little town alone that are as a big a race-head as I am.
Seems BAM is giving a little back in the deal too. There little sponsoship plan that is kinda outlined toward the tail of the article, sounds like a nice oportunity for some smaller companies.
I can see stuff like this happening more often, and on more than one team as the price and commitment required of sponsors continues to climb.

After a week off, we're at Martinsville Speedway for the Goody's Cool Orange 500 on March 30th, 2008 with coverage beginning at 12:30pm on FOX. Jeff Gordon has the pole and Denny Hamlin the outside pole for this week's race. Credit to Aric Almirola in the DEI #8 for qualifying 3rd. It will be interesting to see what he can do. I expect Jimmie Johnson to show up strong in the race, too, since he won both races on 07. In can get very interesting on a short track in the blink of an eye and the drivers seem to have a love/hate relationship with this track from the interviews I've heard this weekend. Looks like we'll have some great racing on Sunday.

Yeah that last replay wasn't a good angle, but one they showed earlier it looked like Matt Crafton was no were near him. He's delusional.
from what i saw, it didn't look like it was that bad. he had a good run on him, but benson tried to block him and kyle barely tapped him

I was impressed by his maturity today in the cup race. He stayed in the car and got back out on the track and picked up 5 places before it ended. I guess he's learning a little of what it takes to be a champion.TC.Troy wrote:
