as i was standing out my back this morn having a smoke, the sun was shining the birds were singing etc... Next thing a huge fucking bumble bee flew towards me and around my head, * natural instinct* throw feg away and run inside.

Now i usually dont have a problem with them, just the big fat fuck off ones that have survived the winter, now in my garden there is alot of flowers and plants and shit, what is the best way i can get rid of these cunts without gettin close? It might just be me but the ones i have seen here this morning are huge, as in over 3 inches long!

please help

We seriously got about 150 of them last summer with that, but they were still flying around in swarms

my brother was always just jokingly afraid of them, then last year after a football practice he got bit, and had a huge allergic reaction, whole face puffed up, so now he has to carry an epi pen around in the summer, like a big needle

Have you actually seen the size of the thing after it's been fired? The needle's almost 4" long and the spring behind it is massive.

bumble bees = slow, stupid, and harmless.

You'd be best off letting them go about their business, it's good for your plants

They only bite, dont sting, and even then, they bite only as a last resolve.

Bumble bees are a non-agressor species, and will sting only if seriously provoked.  The stinger is non-barbed as well, bubmble bees are not mildly poisonous like other bees.

Yes they sting and when they do, they leave half their insides in you.

what are you on about? wasps are way nastier than bumblebees. Lythberg's right, let them be (haha)... they're one of the few bugs whose purpose I can actually understand.

Now, FLIES, MOSQUITOS, and other various bugs are the worst. During the summer for some reason I ALWAYS get a fly inside my house, and it's not like we have piles of shit lying everywhere. Nothing is more satisfying than swatting a fly, knowing that you ended his insignificant life right then and there.

Mosquitoes? They bite, they give you itches, they make high-pitched sounds when they fly past you. What's not to hate? I usually bathe myself in Off! when I go outside. They really should distribute gas masks to my neighborhood then have a pesticide plane fly over.

Various bugs? THis year it seems to be these beetle-ish things that for the most part walk around but can also fly, making an annoying buzzing sound. They usually don't reveal themselves until the night. They are COMPLETELY FUCKING IMMUNE TO MY RAID SPRAY (although it's the anti-fly/mosquito/wasp type spray, I might need the roach spray) so I have to swat them multiple times to make sure they're dead.

Bees are meh, they are good for the environment and I see their worth. But those bugs I mentioned? Nu-uh. You're on my fucking property uninvited, I will treat you as an invader.

That's a honey bee, bumble bees have a smooth stinger, for multiple uses, and no venom, their sting is mostly harmless, even for those allergic to bees.

Edit: And Hurricane's right, there are many more vicious and destructive bugs out there that are more deserving of your hate.

Only an Inch of the needle goes into your skin, it doesn't matter how big the needle is if only part of it is going it, besides its better than dying

Wikipedia article on Bumblebees wrote:

Queen and worker bumblebees can sting, but, like virtually all bees, the sting is not barbed (only honey bees have a barbed sting), so they can sting more than once. Bumblebee species are non-aggressive, but will sting in defense of their nest, or if harmed. Female cuckoo bumblebees will aggressively attack host colony members, and sting the host queen, but will ignore other animals (including humans) unless disturbed. See Schmidt Sting Pain Index.

lmfao @ the descriptions on the pain index

#
# 4.0 Pepsis wasp: Blinding, fierce, shockingly electric. A running hair drier has been dropped into your bubble bath.
# 4.0+ Bullet ant: Pure, intense, brilliant pain. Like fire-walking over flaming charcoal with a 3-inch rusty nail in your heel.

Im not sure how big your avg bumble bee is there but from where Im from 3 inches is huge.  Id say the avg around here is 1.5 to 2 inches.  I would almost say that is a suckass hornet.  They are usually around the 3 inch mark.  As long as its not the dreaded Giant Hornet you should be fine.
