Islam I have found, is synonymous with love, and peaceful harmony with it's neighbors. If reformists and liberals become dominant in the Islamic World, then we will see Islam adapt to the modern world far better with a much more tolerant interpretation of Muhammad's teachings. If not, then unfortunately, we're likely to see many more wars in Islamic countries in the near future.

Every religion has it's moderates. Every religion has it's extremists. What's so hard to understand about that? It's all about interpretation, lowing. There's also a verse in the bible that could be inferred to (and in fact most likely means) the Sun circling around the earth.

I used to think Islam as a religion is intolerant and violent, not nessesarily all members of it.
Of course now I see Islam IS NOT violent an intolerant, but a beacon of truth,, freedom, and equality fully adapted to western society.

I have no problem comparing the teachings and actions of Christ, to the teachings and actions of Muhammad. One taught tolerance, and forgiveness, and love and healed the sick and the other taught to kill non-nonbelievers and cut off 600 heads personally. The only problem is, I can't remember which one was which. Anyway, they are practically the same belief structure. Personally, I am going for Islam they have their shit together and have moved into the 21st century far better than Christianity, wouldn't you agree?

The continued campaign of smearing the good name of Islam seems to reach back to WW2 even. We have a tough fight, you and I, to correct all of the slanderous historical attempts at showing Islam as anything but tolerant and peacefully especially toward their Jewish brothers.
